The charter Wild DOT

The rules of the cycling adventure are simple and self-enforced. They seek to embody the spirit of self-sufficiency and solidarity among participants.

It is a moral contract of integrity.

1. Autonomy and fairness among participants are the basic principles.
2. Participants must not receive outside assistance.
3. Solidarity between participants is permitted and welcome.
4. All equipment and food must be carried or found in commercial establishments encountered along the route.
5. Obligation to follow the route provided by the organisation and to validate all checkpoints.
6. Participants may leave the route during the event (for repairs, accommodation, refuelling, etc.) but must return to the point of departure to continue.
7. Accommodation reservations can only be made after the event has started.
8. Support vehicles are prohibited.
9. Stopping over and staying overnight at private homes or friends’ houses is prohibited.
10. Participants must comply with the Highway Code.

SPIRIT Wild DOT

Wild DOT offers endurance challenges that do not result in any rankings.

These are bikepacking adventures that take place independently and without assistance.

The route is provided by the organisation.

Participants may deviate from the route during the event (for repairs, accommodation, refuelling, etc.) but must return to the point of departure to continue.

Participants must validate the various checkpoints (volunteers present, self-service stamps or photos of the CP).

Participants acknowledge that the event is a potentially dangerous activity.

Participation therefore involves a risk to themselves and their health.

LIST OF REQUIRED MATERIALS

A bicycle in good condition.

A helmet.

Front and rear lights.

A bell.

A high-visibility vest.

A GPS or GPS device on your mobile phone.

A survival blanket.

The Solusport tracker provided by the organisation. 

At the end of the event, the tracker must be handed in personally or, in the event of withdrawal, sent promptly to the following address: Pascal Chabanse, 2 rue de la fontaine 68360 Soultz France.

INSCRIPTIONS / ASSURANCE

L’inscription s’effectue via le site NJUKO.

Possibilité de souscrire une assurance annulation facultative auprès de BEticketing. 

Sans cette assurance, aucun remboursement possible.

Aucune revente de place n’est possible.

L’association privilégie le report de l’épreuve en cas d’impossibilité à l’organiser aux dates initialement prévues.

CYCLIST’S COMMITMENTS

Be honest when registering.

Do not put yourself in danger (excessive fatigue, taking risks while driving, etc.).

Follow a code of conduct: be courteous at all times.

Respect walkers, cyclists, horse riders, etc.

Respect flora and fauna.

Respect private property and restricted areas in regional nature parks.

Keep your campsite clean: zero waste and zero traces.

Follow the recommendations of the event organisers and/or volunteers.

Check and maintain your equipment. 

Obey the rules of the road.

Contact the emergency services and race organisers in the event of an accident, injury or withdrawal.

IMAGE RIGHTS

The participant authorises Wild DOT to use their image rights for communication purposes.

This authorisation is valid in perpetuity, without payment of royalties and in all forms of media, whether known or not yet known.
