The Wild DOT Charter

THE RULES
Wild DOT

Wild DOT organises endurance challenges which do not result in any official rankings.

These are bikepacking adventures undertaken independently and without assistance.

The route is provided by the organisers.

Participants may deviate from the route during the event (for repairs, accommodation, refuelling, etc.), but must return to the ‘exit’ point to continue.

Participants must validate the various checkpoints (via volunteers on site, self-service stamps or photos of the checkpoint).

Participants acknowledge that the event is a potentially dangerous activity.

Participation therefore involves a risk to themselves and their health.

A bike in good condition.

A helmet.

Front and rear lights.

A bell.

A high-visibility vest.

A GPS device or GPS app on your mobile phone.

A survival blanket.

The Solusport tracker provided by the organisers.
At the end of the event, the tracker must be handed in in person or, in the event of withdrawal, sent promptly to the following address: Pascal Chabanse, 2 rue de la fontaine, 68360 Soultz, France.

Registration is via the NJUKO website.

Optional cancellation insurance is available from BEticketing.

Without this insurance, no refunds will be given.

Tickets may not be resold.

The association will give priority to postponing the event if it proves impossible to hold it on the dates originally scheduled.

Be honest when registering.

Do not put yourself in danger (excessive fatigue, taking risks whilst riding, etc.).

Adhere to a code of conduct: be courteous at all times.

Show respect for walkers, cyclists, horse riders, etc.

Respect the local flora and fauna.

Respect private property and restricted areas within Regional Nature Parks.

Camp cleanly: leave no rubbish and leave no trace.

Follow the instructions of the event organisers and/or volunteers.

Check and maintain your equipment.

Obey the Highway Code.

Contact the emergency services and the race organisers in the event of an accident, injury or withdrawal.

The participant authorises Wild DOT to use their image for the purposes of its communications.

This authorisation is valid in perpetuity, without payment of royalties, and in all forms of media, whether known or as yet unknown.
